Nabha Power Limited (NPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro, received global recognition for high-efficiency, sustainability, leadership and innovation during the fifth Annual Peabody Global Clean Coal Leadership Awards. The awards were recently presented at POWERGEN International in Orlando, Florida, USA.
The award was in recognition of NPL’s 1,400 MW coal-based supercritical thermal power plant at Rajpura, Punjab achieving the best heat rate and auxiliary power consumption amongst India’s 660-megawatt class for FY 2017– 2018, along with 100 per cent dry fly ash utilisation and zero liquid discharge. Commenting on this recognition, Shailendra Roy, WholeTime Director, Larsen & Toubro said, “We are delighted to have received this global recognition highlighting our unwavering commitment towards environment, innovation and clean fuel technologies.”
