Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd. (HPPCL) placed an order to ANDRITZ Hydropower India to deliver the complete electromechanical works for the 450 MW Shongtong Karchham Hydroelectric Project, way back in 2014.
Transporting this critical equipment was a challenge in itself. The route to the site passes through landslide-prone terrain and stretches of road that were difficult to access. Despite these formidable conditions, the team persevered. With strong collaboration and support from our client, HPPCL, the roads were strengthened and widened wherever necessary, enabling the safe movement of our ODC consignments to the site.
With relentless dedication, the team is now fully geared towards the successful completion of the project, expected in 2027, when the plant is projected to generate 1,593.93 MU in a 90% dependable year.
