Challenges for MV Cable Distribution Systems
11 and 33 KV cables are referred to as ‘Medium Voltage’ (MV) Cables. And in this change in nomenclature lie the roots of the challenges that face MV cable distribution systems that have not yet received the attention they deserve, with the exception of a few well-managed and progressive urban utilities…
Underground Cable: Technological Development & Market Opportunities
Underground cables offer an affordable and justifiable solution for critical parts and in some cases the entire length of power transmission and distribution lines. With appropriate technology used in appropriate places, the environment impact of underground cables can be minimized…
Under Ground Cables: A complete solution of Urban Distribution Network
The underground cables have several advantages such as less liable to damage through storms, lightning, low maintenance cost, less chances of faults, smaller voltage drop and better general appearance. Voltage drop is also an important factor of cable design...

Gliding or Rolling e-chain Travel – E4.1 Modular System
igus, the motion plastics specialist, now expands its standard modular E4.1 e-chain system by adding new roller links. This makes it especially easy for users to change over from gliding to rolling energy chain systems – The roller links are completely compatible with the entire E4.1 modular system.
Cable Construction & Cable Selection
It is also an important factor for selecting the type of cable. It is to be kept in mind that the cost of the cable should not be such large that it causes loss and another cable may fetch the same results in low cost and loss…- Jignesh Parmar
Digital Earth Resistance Measurement System
Earth faults are dangerous that’s why it requires proper earthing to prevent undesired current from passing through body of personnel, nearby metallic object and other critical equipment. In this paper, we present the impact of soil resistivity on earth electrode grounding by carrying out extensive measurement of resistance of earth electrode, using the Fall-of-Potential method. Thus, the study revealed that the values of earth electrode resistance should be within range of 1 to 10 Ohms and the results also confirmed that earth electrode resistance has great impact on types of soil in which the earth rod was grounded and hence efforts should be made to improve soil resistivity for effective earthing of the system. - Baljit Singh Tomar, Hardik Rupreliya, Parth Pandya, Akshat Patel, Dhruv Patel
