ANDRITZ Hydropower India has signed a contract with Bhutan Hydropower Service Limited (BHSL) for the prestigious ‘Bhutan Phase II Projects’.
These projects include Jomori, Gamri-I, Bamukparangchhu, Druk Bindu-I, Druk Bindu-II, and Kachin Diversion, thus marking another significant step forward in strengthening Bhutan’s hydropower landscape.
Under this contract, ANDRITZ will undertake: i) Design & engineering of hydromechanical works; ii) Supervision of fabrication for critical components such as bends, bifurcations & radial gates; iii) Installation supervision of these components; and iv) Comprehensive quality supervision during both fabrication and installation phases.
This is a valued repeat order from BHSL. ANDRITZ previously delivered the Phase I projects – Burgangchhu, Yungichhu, and Suchhu with the same scope. Two of these projects are already commissioned. The third one is set to go online by the end of April 2026. With this new contract, ANDRITZ proudly reaffirms its commitment to supporting the growth of Bhutan’s green energy sector and strengthening sustainable hydropower development.
