Prime Minister Inaugurates NHPC’s New SPP

NHPC’s 300 MW Karnisar Solar Power Plant (SPP) at Bikaner, Rajasthan, was recently inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, through virtual mode. The inauguration was held in the august presence of Governor of Rajasthan Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde, Chief Minister of Rajasthan Bhajan Lal Sharma, Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri and Deputy Chief Ministers of Rajasthan Diya Kumari and Dr. Prem Chand Bairwa.

Speaking on the occasion, Modi emphasized that renewable energy is the cornerstone of India’s energy security and sustainable future. He further highlighted that Rajasthan is witnessing the development of world-class solar power infrastructure, reinforcing its position as a key contributor to the nation’s clean energy ambitions.
