Suzlon Energy has secured a 250 MW wind energy order from Torrent Green Energy, a Torrent Group company. The latest contract marks the sixth order between the two companies and takes their cumulative partnership to more than 1.3 GW across Gujarat, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh.
Under the order, Suzlon will supply 76 of its S144 wind turbine generators, each rated at 3.3 MW. The scope also includes grid integration and long-term operations and maintenance services.
The latest order adds to Suzlon’s growing order book and takes its new order wins during FY27 to more than 1.1 GW, according to the company. The partnership with Torrent Green Energy has developed over more than a decade and has become one of Suzlon’s significant customer relationships.
Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman, Suzlon Group, said the continued orders reflect the confidence developed through long-term cooperation and consistent project execution. Ajay Kapur, Chief Executive Officer, Suzlon Group, highlighted customer confidence as an important factor behind the company’s recent order growth. The order further expands Suzlon’s involvement in utility-scale wind power projects and supports Torrent Green Energy’s renewable energy expansion. The development adds further momentum to India’s wind energy equipment and project development market.
