Chubu Electric Power that undertook the project of installation of solar power generation equipment, and commissioning two solar power plants on sewerage facilities owned by Motosu City (Gifu Prefecture), has completed construction of one of those plants. The Shinsei Purification Center Solar Plant has already started commercial operation.
The company has installed a 250 kW solar power generation equipment at the Shinsei Purification Center site.
Chubu Electric Power Group has positioned renewable energy as one of its main power sources that will contribute to achieving a carbon-free society as well as enhancing energy self-sufficiency, and it will continue active development in order to achieve its goal of “an expansion over 3.2 million kW through ownership, construction, and maintenance of renewable energy plants by around 2030.”
