
Renewable Energy (RE) installed capacity in the country has increased form 76.38 GW in 2014 to 288.58 GW as on 30.06.2026.
So far, a total of 297.36 GW non-fossil fuel sources based electricity capacity has been installed in the country as on 30.06.2026. This includes 288.58 GW renewable energy capacity and 8.78 GW nuclear power capacity.
Since FY 2014 till FY 2026, renewable energy sector in the country has attracted Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) of USD 45.72 Bn (approx.). Additionally, during the said period, domestic financial institutions (12 Public sector banks, IREDA, PFC, REC, IIFCL, NaBFID and SIDBI) have deployed Rs.12.32 lakh crore towards renewable energy sector.
