BHEL ORGANISES DIALOGUE FOR STRENGTHENING LOCAL SUPPLY ECOSYSTEM

In pursuance of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision to make India self-reliant, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) recently organised BHEL SAMVAAD 3.0 – the third edition of its dialogue with domestic business partners, industry associations, academia, research institutes, government organisations and other ministries like CEA, DoE, DPIIT, and MoP, MoSteel and MeitY, etc., at Bharat Mandapam.

In his address, Union Minister of Heavy Industries, Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey citing the clarion call of the Prime Minister for being ‘Vocal for Local’, exhorted the fraternity to come out with solutions on the challenges faced and focus on achieving the aspiration of becoming a developed nation by 2047. He released a booklet on ‘Annual Capacity Building Plan (ACBP)’ of MHI outlining key strategic areas with year-wise capacity building initiatives within Ministries, Departments and Organisations (MDOs) in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of Mission Karmayogi. He also unveiled BHEL’s R&D compendium titled ‘Anusandhan se Aatmanirbharta’ on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Kamran Rizvi, Secretary (HI) shared that the ministry of Heavy Industries is working extensively towards providing an ecosystem for the growth of the capital goods and automotive industries. He also lauded the significant role of BHEL in shaping the industrial landscape in the country by developing and manufacturing a wide range of power generation, transmission, transportation and defence equipment and technologies which has helped reduce India’s dependence on imports.
