Hanergy Thin Film Power announced that Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems, a German based solar energy testing laboratory has rated Hanergy’s US-based subsidiary Alta Devices’ single junction GaAs cells as the world’s most efficient.

The efficiency of Photovoltaic panel can be increased if it is placed in such a manner that incidence angle is null or almost small in respect to solar irradiation. This can be obtained by tracking the sun for movable structure and by proper selection of inclination angle for fixed structure.
