The new Data Science & Analytics unit will be established as part of the business technology, covering IT, innovation and digitalisation within Fortum.
Dr Christian Jacobsson has been appointed to lead the Data Science & Analytics unit. His unit’s task is to strengthen Fortum’s projects in digitalisation and support in reaching the company’s vision of future energy and asset optimisation. He will report to SVP Arun Aggarwal, Business Technology at Fortum. “Christian’s appointment helps us to increase speed, quality and the likeliness for success in our digitalisation projects,” says Arun Aggarwal.
