The quality and performance of materials used in applications for moving electricity safely and reliably has been a challenge and critical for performance – whether to power a manufacturing robot, drone, electric vehicle, or the circuitry behind a smart home equipment.

There are customised polymer engineering plastics, which are proving to be ideal materials for the interior components of a car, as they are not only light weight, durable and aesthetically pleasing but also reduces Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) levels of an electric car.

FPL grades of polyamides allow for appealing designs due to good surface aesthetics and for colourful designs due to good colourability even in grades having halogen-free  flame retardancy compliant to new regulations. Material convinces with significantly improved aging properties than existing systems currently available on the market. Due to the versatile application possibilities, we can provide large production volumes at economically attractive conditions.

FPL has expanded its product portfolio of polyamides for the high-temperature range with the development of the heat-stabilized FORMPOLY® polyamide, reinforced with glass reinforcement, excellent thermal aging performance, high temperature welding properties and laser markability.

The new compounds offer a unique heat resistance and prevent corrosion on electrical components.
