MYSUN, India’s largest rooftop solar platform focused on providing end-to-end solar solutions, is pleased to announce that its Founder and CEO, Gagan Vermani has received the prestigious ‘Power and Energy Persona of the Decade – Innovative work in Decentralised & Distributed Solar’ ENERTIA Award. The award, which recognises excellence in sustainable energy and power in India and South Asia, was conferred by the eminent jury in recognition of Vermani’s and MYSUN’s exceptional work in spreading solar power solutions in the country.
Vermani was felicitated at the 11th edition of the Prakashmay ENERTIA Awards, 2017, which was held at the SCOPE Convention Centre, in an event that was Co-chaired by K. Ravikumar, Former Chairman and Managing Director of BHEL, and Yogendra Prasad, former Chairman and Managing Director of NHPC. The eminent jury panel also comprised Dr. Prakasam Tata, Mentor Chairman, REPA and Executive Director, CTWT; Dr. Hirdesh Khanna, Associate DG-REPA (EU) in Germany, and Chairman & Managing Director, iKRATOS Solagie Pvt. Ltd; and R.N. Khazanchi, Managing Director, Punatsanchu Hydroelectric Project Authority, Bhutan.
The award is an acknowledgement of Gagan Vermani’s role in MYSUN’s incredible growth story, scripted by its success in promoting end-to-end solar energy solutions in India, which has successfully created a mass movement and made MYSUN India’s largest rooftop solar power company in only 16 months of operations.
