Alstom, a global leader in green and smart mobility solutions, has furthered its investments in Türkiye by acquiring Duray Ulasim Sistemleri in Bursa. The new Advanced Industrial Center, which has already commenced operations with over 200 employees, will produce mission critical rail transport components.
Commenting on the development, Kerem Bugay, Managing Director of Alstom Türkiye, said, “Building on a 70-year-partnership, as a trusted-rail-solutions, we continue to invest in our country, our industry, and our people. In 2023, we initiated our long-term investment plan in the country by establishing the Alstom Türkiye Engineering and Technology Centre. Today, with our new Advanced Industrial Center in Bursa, we reaffirm our commitment to Türkiye and our determination to contribute to the country’s modern rail system goals. With a legacy of delivering to major European rail projects, Bursa will be adaptable in the future and prepared to expand operations in alignment with the requirements and expectations of the Government and our local partners.”
Focusing on their future plan, Nazlı Zengin, the Site’s Managing Director, added, “It is a great pride for us to contribute to Alstom’s projects by establishing Türkiye as a component production hub with this new investment. In the coming period, we aim to gradually expand our factory, doubling our industrial capacity and workforce.”
