Could you elaborate on the product range that you offer and what are some of the latest technologies that you use for the same?
Raychem RPG is a market leader in cable accessories and connection technologies, offering solutions across voltages ranging from 1.1 kV to 245 kV. We are also the dominant player in surge arresters, solar, connectors and covered conductors. There are several innovations happening in each of these spaces, more so in high voltage solutions.
Traditionally, high voltage terminations use silicone oil for insulation, but this design has some drawbacks, such as leakage of oil, a shorter shelf life, environment hazards and potential explosion / fire risks in its lifetime.
To overcome some of these challenges, we have come up with 145KV Dry Type terminations. We will be the first one to indigenously manufacture this in India as a part of Make in India initiative. This solution removes the need for oil. This is pre-fitted and tested at the factory, and ensures quick installation with enhanced reliability, in line with our purpose of delivering Reliable Connections… always
Additionally, we are tapping into the growing solar market in India, particularly the solar connectors and junction boxes. We are now manufacturing TE technology solar connectors locally, which were previously imported. This is also part of our Make in India initiative.
These are few of the exciting developments that are happening to meet the Indian customer needs.
What are some of the latest product innovations that you have showcased at ELECRAMA 2025?
We have introduced 145 kV dry-type terminations, solar connectors, solar junction boxes, arc flash suits and safety rescue tools along with our flagship products of EHV cable accessories.
These innovative solutions offer tremendous value to customers, ensuring reliability and peace of mind –once put in service.

What are your future plans for expansion?
At the back end, a lot of work is being done on safety products, Surge Arresters and cable accessories, part of them as Smart Products. Also, there are a few other initiatives pertaining to lightning and earthing protection. We see huge potential in these areas and are excited to see what more we can contribute to the needs of the industry.
How is the event ELECRAMA helping in shaping up the electrical industry in our country?
We truly believe there is no better event for electrical equipment manufacturers and electrical industry as a whole than ELECRAMA. I have been attending it for more than 25 years, and it has become a key platform not just nationally, but globally. Today, it’s an event that everyone in the industry, eagerly look forward to participate and engage.
What makes this year particularly special is the continued growth in the number of participants, highlighting the exhibition’s expanding influence. One of the biggest takeaways for me is the increasing consumer demand for innovative, cutting-edge products. There are also a noticeable rise in startups and new ideas across different segments.
