4 major challenges necessitating the use of intelligent energy storage

With the changing demand pattern, the energy supply methodology also needs to transform…

Earlier, electricity has flowed through the grid in one direction – centrally generated, transmitted long distances, then distributed within cities to customers. But, today the world’s demand for energy has changed. We have become more dynamic in terms of where, when and how we consume energy. We want it to come from renewable sources. We want to be more efficient with what we already have. These changes in both supply and demand present a new set of challenges.

  • Our grid infrastructure is aging.
    • It lacks intelligence.
    • It is generally inflexible in handling the growing demands of consumers in a rapidly accelerating electronic age.
    • Energy generated from renewable sources is difficult to integrate since it isn’t reliable and doesn’t generate when we need it.

The adoption of intelligent energy storage as part of the electricity supply chain solves many of these challenges.
