CEA Organizes Electrical Safety Awareness Programme

Central Electricity Authority (CEA), in association with BSES organized the Electrical Safety Day 2026 in New Delhi on 29th June 2026. This year’s theme, ‘Today’s Awareness, Tomorrow’s Prevention: Let Us All Unite to Prevent Fire Hazards from Electrical Short Circuits’. The theme encapsulates a simple but powerful truth: prevention begins with awareness. Most electrical fires are preventable – the barrier is not technology or resources but knowledge.

Union Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal addressed the gathering through video message. He emphasized that electrical safety is fundamental to India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047 and called for making safety an integral part of everyday life.
