CMPDI, CCL INK MOA FOR DEVELOPMENT OF SOLAR POWER PROJECTS

Recently, Central Mine Planning & Design Institute (CMPDI) and Central Coalfields Ltd (CCL), Ranchi have signed in an MoA (Memorandum of Association) for development of Solar Power Projects.

This MoA will open a new path for CIL in becoming a Net Zero Energy company. The MoA was signed by A. K. Singh, General Manager (E&M), CMPDI and V. K. Singh, General Manager (E&M), CCL. Also, this occasion was graced with the presence of S. K. Gomasta, Director (T/CRD/ES), CMPDI and Manoj Kumar, Regional Director, RI-III, CMPDI.

CMPDI is a Government of India enterprise having its corporate headquarters at Ranchi in India. The company is a fully owned subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL) and a Schedule-B company. It is a Mini Ratna (Category I) company since 2019. CMPDIL and all its seven Regional Institutes have been granted the right and licence to be listed in the Bureau of Indian Standards’ Register of Licencees of Quality Management System, in accordance with IS/ISO 9001:2015. Licence No: QM/L-5003433 dated 29th March 2017.

CCL (formerly National Coal Development Corporation Ltd) was one of the five subsidiaries of Coal India Ltd. Now, CCL has 62 Operative Mines (22 Underground & 40 Opencast Mines), 7  Washeries, 5 Coking Coal Washeries (Kathara, Rajrappa, Kedla & Sawang, Kargali) and 2 Non-Coking Coal Washeries (Piparwar & Giddi). The company also holds 1 Central Workshop (ISO 9001) at Barkakana, 5 Regional Repair/Workshops (3 w/s are ISO 9001) at Jarandih, Tapin North, Dakra, Giridih and Bhurkunda.
