FPT Industrial will present three eagerly anticipated e-powertrain products at Busworld 2023. The 37 kWh eBS37 EVO battery pack, ideal for minibuses, has a high energy density (up to 140 Wh/kg), an eight-year warranty, and excellent safety features. The eBM5, their first battery management system (BMS), is also included, which improves safety and performance. Furthermore, the 69 kWh eBS69 bus battery pack, known for its exceptional energy density (up to 178 Wh/kg), comes with a ten-year warranty and is designed for bus installations.
FPT Industrial has partnered with Reefilla, a Turin-based innovative startup, to focus on the eBS37 battery model. Reefilla is well-known for its innovative predictive mobile charging service, which is available to both commercial fleets and individual users. They plan to repurpose batteries from commercial electric vehicles and minibuses as part of a pilot project. Reefilla will receive eBS37 batteries that are no longer suitable for powering electric vehicles. Over 50% of the internal components and modules of the batteries will be salvaged by the startup. These salvaged parts will be used in Reefilla’s Fillee mobile power banks, which are used to recharge their customers’ electric vehicles.
