Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) is a Mini Ratna (Category- I) Government of India Enterprise extending financial assistance for setting up projects relating to new and renewable sources of energy and energy efficiency/conservation. During the financial year 2016-17, IREDA achieved highest Loan sanctions and disbursement ever during any financial year which are Rs.10199.01 crores and Rs.6593.49 crores respectively.
IREDA has been conferred with CBIP award for ‘Outstanding Contribution for Development in Renewable Energy’.
The award was presented by Dr. Satya Pal Singh, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation to K.S. Popli, CMD, IREDA at the ‘CBIP Awards 2018’ function held on 3rd January, 2018 at New Delhi. The company is committed to maintain its position as a leading organisation.
