Mike Young has joined Vedanta after taking a short sabbatical from his last role as CEO of Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company (SSMC), Singapore. Prior to this, he served as CEO of X-FAB Sarawak, Malaysia.
An industry veteran with 34 years of experience, Young will oversee execution of manufacturing and operational processes as the company gears up to set its first semiconductor fab in India.
Expressing his view on this new assignment, Young said, “I’m happy to share that I have started a new position as Senior Vice President, PMO & Manufacturing Operations at Vedanta Foxconn Semiconductors Limited in India. We are building India’s first world class Semiconductor Fab, which will be a watershed moment for the country. We are aggressively building our semiconductor team with the top notch global talent.”
