NHPC Limited has successfully concluded its flagship CSR initiative, Shiksha Rath 7.0, with a closing event held on 17.08.2025 in Turtuk, Nubra, Ladakh. The event was graced by Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC as Chief Guest along with the Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Turtuk, local villagers and Self-Help Group (SHG) women.
A key highlight of the event was the inauguration of homestay units developed with NHPC’s CSR support to promote border tourism and generate sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Additionally, 30 sewing machines were distributed to women who successfully completed professional tailoring training conducted in collaboration with USHA International. Certificates were awarded to acknowledge the skills and determination of the participants, marking a significant step towards women’s empowerment.
