Panasonic Group’s Largest SPV System Set for Activation

The PV capacity covers almost 20% of the factory’s electricity requirements…

As part of its efforts to achieve net zero carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions at its factories, Panasonic Corporation has introduced a solar power generation system with 5.2 MW photovoltaic capacity at the factories of Panasonic Appliances Air-Conditioning Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (PAPAMY) in Malaysia.

This is the largest photovoltaic system within the Panasonic Group, expected to generate approximately 5,900 MWh annually and reduce CO2 emissions by 3,912 tons each year. This initiative will cover approximately 20% of all electricity consumed on PAPAMY’s premises, including air conditioner factories and offices.

With the goals set forward with Panasonic GREEN IMPACT, the Panasonic Group aims to attain net zero CO2 emissions at all operating company sites by 2030.
