Tata Power conferred with “Suraksha Puraskar”

Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power utility has always prioritised the wellbeing of its employees and surrounding communities by simultaneously working towards improving their quality of life. Recognising this effort, the National Safety Council of India conferred Tata Power’s Maithon plant with a “Suraksha Puraskar” and Haldia plant with a “Prashansa Patra” certificate at the recently held Safety Awards 2018 under the ‘Manufacturing Sector’ category. The award appreciated Tata Power’s efforts to develop and implement effective management systems & procedures for Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) at its Maithon and Haldia plants.

With three distinct national level awards institutionalised in the Manufacturing, Construction and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise sectors. The National Safety Council of India provides national recognition to companies for consistent and meritorious OSH performance and encourages them to further commit to it.
