American Electric Power (AEP) has named Kate Sturgess Senior Vice President (VP), Controller and Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) effective May 9, 2023. In this role, she will be responsible for all aspects of accounting, financial reporting and regulatory accounting services. Sturgess will report to Ann Kelly, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Sturgess received her Bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Sheffield in England and is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
