Prasanna Kumar Motupalli has assumed the charge of Chairman and Managing Director of NLC India Limited, on 12.01.2023. Motupalli began his career in National Thermal Power Corporation, a Maharatna Govt. of India CPSE. Later he has served the power industry in various capacities spanning over 34 years.
Prior to assuming the charge as MD of GSECL, he was the Executive Director, heading vertical of NTPC (Corporate Fuel Management). During his tenure at GSECL, he was also appointed as the Chairman of the Prestigious Western Region Power Committee (WRPC).
As a professional manager, strategic planner and business leader in Indian Power Sector, Prasanna Kumar will lead NLCIL, which is now spreading its wings in all parts of the country and on its path towards becoming a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise. Since 1956, NLC has completed more than 60 years of its glorious existence.
