On the 1st of April 2020, KEI Industries pledged Rs. 2 Cr to the PM Care Fund supporting the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in India. The present situation in India and across the globe is an alarming concern that requires immediate action. Considering the rising needs of the nation KEI contributed to the Prime Ministers Citizen’s Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situation Fund (PM Care Fund).
Mr Anil Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, KEI Industries, said: “The COVID-19 is one of the toughest challenges that the world has been facing. At such a time the business must join hands with the Government as well as the civil society to support the communities we live and serve. KEI Industry will continue helping until the COVID-19 is encounter. We are confident that India will conquer the COVID-19 crisis sooner rather than later.”
Due to the nationwide lockdown, several migrant labourers and daily wage workers are struggling to survive. The company has taken responsibility in partnership with ISKCON to serve meals to these individuals, by contributing 50 lakh to ISKCON.
