Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals has named Promeet Ghosh as Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director with effect from May 1, 2023. His tenure is supposed to continue till April 30, 2028. However, Ghosh’s appointment and remuneration are subject to the approval of shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting of the company.
Ghosh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical & Electronics) from National Institute of Technology, Trichy and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
He was an investment banker for two decades and has served as Director on boards of various companies across sectors. He has worked with DSP Merrill Lynch for 18 years and helped build its M&A franchise. Thereafter, Ghosh was Deputy Head Temasek India, leading the team on the ground for nearly a decade. During his tenure, Temasek’s direct India exposure grew significantly. After leaving his full-time role at Temasek in March 2022.
