AMETEK, Inc. has appointed Dave Hermance as President, Electromechanical Group. Hermance currently serves as Vice President and General Manager, AMETEK Measurement, Communications and Testing (MC&T) Division. He will be replacing Tim Jones, President, Electromechanical Group, who has announced his intention to retire at the end of 2021 following his 42-year tenure with the company.
Since joining, Hermance has continued to take on successfully larger leadership roles at AMETEK including Business Unit Manager for their Industrial Products and for their Sensor Technologies businesses before taking on his current role as head of MC&T in 2016. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Oregon State University.
Commenting on Hermance’s promotion, AMETEK Chairman and CEO, David A. Zapico has said, “Dave is a proven operating executive and has contributed greatly to AMETEK’s success.”
