M. RIHAN BECOMES THE DIRECTOR OF THE RE CENTRE OF AMU

Prof Mohd Rihan, an Associate Professor from the Department of Electrical Engineering of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh, India, has been appointed as the Director, Centre for Integrated Green and Renewable Energy (under AMU) for a period of three years.

Dr. Rihan is also a Visiting Scientist at National Institute of Solar Energy, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Government of India. He is the Convener of the Green University Project Committee and AMU Member Incharge, Electricity Department, as well as AMU Coordinator, Solar PV Training Centre affiliated to Skills Council Green Jobs, Government of India.

He holds 18 years of academic honour. Prof Rihan was a Gold Medalist for Securing First Position in the B. Tech. (Electrical), 2001 batch of AMU. He also received the University Merit Scholarship of AMU in 1997-1998 and 1999-2001 – and the Outstanding Merit Award by the Vice Chancellor, AM in 2009.
