Melexis, a global microelectronics engineering company, has expanded its portfolio with the launch of a new product line: Protective Devices. This strategic move underscores the company’s’ commitment to driving innovation, safety, and extended battery autonomy in the rapidly evolving Electric Vehicle (EV) and energy management sector.
The new product line will be led by Billy Ye, Product Line Director for Protective Devices. He will focus on delivering highly reliable, specialised solutions that safeguard sensitive electronic components while maximising the efficiency of high-voltage systems.
The first product launched in the new line is the MLX91299, a breakthrough solution designed for Silicon Carbide (SiC) power modules. These modules are fundamental to increasing the driving range and improving the efficiency of EVs.
