With over 50 years of experience, Epoxy House offers a wide range of electrical and electrotechnical products & components that serve the energy, mobility, and industrial sectors. Our key offerings include a comprehensive range of switchgear and transformer bushings, instrument transformers, Solenoid coils, dry-type and oil-type distribution transformers, and inductors for various applications. One of our significant strengths is customisation – we often develop components to specific customer requirements. With in-house moulding, testing, and design facilities, we maintain high quality and ensure reliable performance across all our products.

Epoxy House is known to have a diverse business structure. Could you elaborate on the different companies under the group umbrella and the key sectors they cater to?

Epoxy House has grown into a diversified conglomerate comprising several specialized companies that cater to distinct segments of the electrical and power industries. Our journey began with Baroda Bushings & Insulators Pvt Ltd (established in 1973), which manufactures epoxy resin cast components for systems up to 36 kV. Other key entities include:

  • Baroda Moulds & Dies Pvt Ltd (1990): Expertise in mould and tool development for heavy and large-sized epoxy castings.
  • ECS Industries Pvt Ltd (ECS1): Focuses on high quality low & medium-voltage instrument transformers including sensors upto 36kV.
  • ECS Industries Pvt Ltd (ECS 2): Global leader of solenoids, sensors, Valves, Actuators, & Tripping Coils
  • ECS Industries Pvt Ltd (ECS 3): In-house stamping division
  • ECS Industries Pvt Ltd (ECS 4): Oil-cooled and dry type-high voltage components upto 245kV for generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
  • Kaizen Switchgear Products Pvt Ltd (1995): Export-Oriented Unit delivering precision-moulded LV & MV components to the international switchgear & transformer market, with multiple Export Excellence Awards.
  • GB Solar Pvt Ltd: Focuses on solar panel manufacturing and sustainable energy solutions.

How do you manage manufacturing, R&D and product diversification across such a wide portfolio?

Our core belief is centred on delivering exceptional quality, and we firmly uphold this commitment in our daily actions. We utilize high-quality raw materials and closely monitor the entire production process to ensure the robust quality of our products. By conducting numerous rigorous tests and performing quality checks, we strive to adhere to our zero-error policy. All group companies comply with modern Integrated Management Systems, which include ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018, demonstrating conformity of our processes and products.

Our facility is equipped with modern technology and staffed by experienced professionals. It gives us complete control over quality, timelines, and customisation. Our manufacturing and testing capabilities include APG machines supported by the Hedrich plant, as well as automatic and semi-automatic winding machines, an Automated Assembly Line, Epoxy Flooring, Autoclaves, Cranes, and more. Our in-house test beds are capable of performing testing as per IEC and IEEE standards. Our High Voltage lab is accredited by NABL, with an 800kVp impulse facility, which reinforces our commitment to quality.

Our R&D team works closely with clients to understand the unique challenges of their applications, enabling us to deliver innovative solutions that exceed standard products. Whether it involves a custom component design, a unique resin formulation, or enhanced performance features, our development efforts are guided by real-world needs and requirements. We ensure environmental compliance by strictly adhering to national and international standards in our manufacturing processes. From the safe handling and disposal of chemicals to energy-efficient equipment and systems, every part of our production is monitored for environmental impact.

Our resin mixing and casting systems are designed to minimize material wastage, and we continually optimize our processes to enhance energy efficiency. We also invest in dust-free and controlled environments for casting, which not only improves product quality but also ensures a safer, cleaner workspace for our employees.

On a broader level, we’ve expanded into renewable energy through our solar division, GB Solar Pvt Ltd, which manufactures high-efficiency solar panels, supporting the global transition to cleaner power.

Our focus is on Smart Grid solutions, which are essential for intelligent energy management. We strive to lead in innovative energy technologies through our new, next-generation product line of MV Lower Power Voltage and Current sensors. We have established good references in Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) components and substation, where compactness, safety, and reliability are critical. These applications will be central to tomorrow’s power distribution networks. We’re exploring the potential of epoxy technologies in emerging sectors, including Electric Vehicles (EVs), hydrogen, and renewable energy systems. These sectors require highly durable, insulated components that can withstand demanding environments.
